FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS

We request that consultation fees for cosmetic procedures be paid at the time of the initial consult. If a second consultation at our office is recommended, there is no charge. Fees for cosmetic surgery must be paid seven days prior to the date of surgery.

If reconstructive surgery is performed, insurance companies will often help defray the costs of surgery. Sometimes a procedure is both functional and cosmetic, and in this case, the functional portion of the surgery is often covered by insurance. We will attempt to give you a best estimate of your costs at the time of consultation.

Expenses for cosmetic surgery are not tax deductible at this time. However, expenses for reconstructive surgery are tax deductible. Some flexible spending accounts can be used for cosmetic surgery- check with your benefits coordinator.
