Non-surgical cosmetic treatments

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a medication that is produced by Allergan pharmaceuticals that works to relax muscles; which in turn will reduce the appearance of frown lines and some types of wrinkles. It is most commonly used around the eyes and forehead to improve the crow’s feet around the eyes and “frown” lines between the eyebrows, but can be used elsewhere. A very small amount is injected under the skin into the selected muscles. It takes about 3 days for the effect to take place, and lasts for about 3 months in most cases. It can be repeated as necessary. Although very safe, some side effects are possible: bruising at the injection site, temporary drooping of the eyelid.
